Lieryasirg
the basics,
»»character full name: Lieryasirg
»»age: 3
»»gender: Female
»»sexual orientation: Pansexual
»»position: Loner?
»»species: Wolf
»»pack/pride/clan:
»»powers: Root.
Lierya can emulate the effects of certan medicinal plants. This ability is constiantly, passively active in her body, though she's more or less immune to it unless she were to consume it herself-- but her body produces the effect constantly. Thus, if you were to lick her blood or-- gods forbid-- eat some of her flesh, you would get the effect of some medical herb, randomly. IF she concentrates, she can control which it is, and with exhausting effort she can impart the effect on another person without them needing some of her blood-- but it leaves her exhausted to do so.
The plants' effects come with all associated side effects, which might include nausea and hallucinations and other such things. One "dose" functions as well as one dose would-- so if she were to choose to emulate the poppy, it would dull pain for several hours, but would wear off eventually. It would also cause drowsiness, nausea, potential hallucnations, and potentially cause an addiction. If she were to emulate an antibiotic effect, it would be roughly the equivilant of one dose of an antibiotic plant. etc.
Pain relief seems to be the most obnoxious symptom to treat with plants, since most of the plants she knows of to cure serious pains will also cause, at the very least, hallucinations. IF choosing, she must pick a specific plant to emulate. IF the effect is random-- you've bitten her and gotten some significant ammount of her blood in your mouth, for instance-- dice shall be rolled.
Note- in a fight, this would be rendered by my suggestion that you got her blood on you-- since trace amounts of blood (From, say, a very quick bite) would cause no effect, it would be fine for the opponent to go unaffected.
the appearance,
»»eyes: Cream-yellow
»»markings: None as of yet
»»height: 33 inches
»»weight: 52lbs
»»general appearance: Lierye is not a very tall animal: only 33 inches at the shoulder, which puts her in average size for a grey wolf. Her build is fairly light and scrawny-- her weight is 52lbw. The muscle she has is lean, and her pelt is thick and warm-- even in summer months, which occasionally causes her some discomfort. Many colors make their appearance on her body, but three seem to be dominant. White is her base-tone, and it reigns on her underbelly untouched. Black forms a saddle marking and covers her face not uncommon in naturally-colored wolves, if a touch sparing around the eyes and the underside of her face. From there, things get unnatural: instead of an array of grays, she has an array of rainbow colors. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and even touches of purple make an appearance, but only in small, sutble patches underneath the black overmarking. By far, it is pink that dominates her fur, underneath the black: following the lines of hte saddle marking and the face mask, but going wider down her torso and legs. She has sock markings on each foot that are pink, as well.
She will have a ref, whenever I draw up some wolfy lines for myself.
the personality,
»»likes: PRacticing her magic, quiet locations, birds.
»»dislikes: strangers, being nervous, seeing people in pain.
»»general personality: Quiet, calm, collected. Slightly nervous around strangers, but tries to hide it. Aloof. Has a strong social urge, but frequently finds herself unable to act on it. Wary. Takes a long time to trust. Tends to keep her mind in a crisis. Natural inclination to be a healer. Gentle. Suspicious. Empathetic, though she hides this too: hates to see people in pain. sharp wit, sharp tongue: if you deserve to be told off, she will snap and snarl and not soften her words. Fair- brutally so. Thoughtful. Slightly haughty. Patient. Subtle. Doesn't like not belonging/new situations-- but will occasionally put herself in such situations in order to force herself to grow. Not very generous, outside of healing pain. imaginative. creative. slightly withdrawn- partially ebcause she's very sensitive and emotional, though this is also something she tries very hard to hide. Will be slow to open up. Deeply, deeply loyal. Fairly sweet, despite herself. Would make a horrible pack leader: does not want positions of power, where people look up to her. The exception would be when it comes to a skill that sh ehas-- if she were to be in charge of plant-baed healers, for instance, she could handle that-- because she wouldn't think of it as a leadership role, rather as something she already knows how to do. Efficient. Fairly sarcastic. Familial, though independent: wants to make her own way. Eventually will want children of her own, and a long-term mate. Not quite so likely to engage in casual relationships, but not impossible. No nonsense, fairly blunt: says things exactly as they are. A little shy.
the history,
»»mother: unknown
»»father: unknown
»»siblings: unknown
»»others: unknown
»»background:
- Born into a relatively large pack, into a large family. Teh quiet one, she was frequently passed over and left to play on her own- which she liked.
- Showed an affinity towards plants, and towards healing. More experienced healers in her pack noticed this when she was a young pup and took them under their wing for training.
- She learned quickly and enthusiastically, and her magic manifested itself in being able to emulate the plants that she learned about-- though she finds it much easier to use the plants themselves, fi she has them on hand.
- grew into an adult, and fairly adept at healing.
- Given how large the pack was, she felt somewhat ill at ease. While the standard practice was to chase off about half of the inborn children to prevent against inbreeding, she stayed with the pack longer then most adolescents-- healers were generally exempt from such rules, being useful.
- She eventually chose to leave on her own accord-- the pack had enough healers, but other packs might not-- and she wanted a place for herself, to belong.
- Has been wandering in the past year, since that decision, seeking her own place of belonging.
