His base tone is a creamy, slightly orangish-pink tone, that darkens as it climbs his body. A cheetah's normal spots cover his fur, but they are black, bordered with the darker red. Here and there, they are bordered with pink instead of red. The tear-marking from his eye is purely the orange red, and a few of the spots-- particularly lower on his body, are also completely red. From his neck and along his spine emerge long, prehensile tendrils, each topped with a ball of glowing pink. These are banded with the orange-red tone, but otherwise pale white. These contain a contact-venom which causes intense pain when it touches another creature- or, if enough tendrils hit, they can begin to paralyze the victim. This is a temporary effect and wears off after an hour.

»»general personality: Wary, curious, nervous, slightly hysterical, experiences mental disconnect, not alltogether 'there', stutters and shakes (remnants of the plague), looks weaker then he is (and continues that on purpose), stubborn, tenacious, always amused, unnerving, doesn't trust easily, loyal-- if you win him over, not much of a temper, makes odd connections and seems to have an abstract relationship with reality, fascinated by small things, occasionally violent, sadistic hunter-- but not sadistic to anything other then what he considers 'prey' (unless you rankle him), somewhat idealistic: likes the fact that tortus canines and felines live together, and considers the others the enemy for propagating the myth that such is impossible. Generally irrational. Relatively responsible-- in the sense that he will get jobs assigned to him done. Proud, great hunter, uses his new element to his advantage hunting. awful leader- while he can remember well enough to get thigns done, he can't remember or mentally organize well enough to lead anybody.

Originally, he was your ordinary cheeta, member of the bruma pride. This was, in fact, the case recently-- he was a good hunter, capable of bringing home large game to feed the pride.
For fun and to hone his hunting abilities, Serisrex would take advantage of his natural speed, and run prey-creatures down. his favorite to go after were rabbits, whose speed gave him a serious test of ability: he would loose them more often then not. It was this that eventually backfired on him.
He did this as usual, and managed to run down his prey. Since rabbits are small, he kept it for himself and ate it completely, unaware that the particular rabbit he caught was a plaguebearer. He, in turn, became a plaguebearer.
The transformation took a week, and was heavily painful. His coloration had originally been very similar, but altogether darker, then what he had now-- the sickness bleached him, and caused the poison tendrils to grow across his body. It was painful, and in it's early stages he ran off on his own, spurred on by hysterical pain and hallucinations.
At gamestart, he has been a plaguebearer for a month.
